Does God exist?

The oldest argument there is, put to eight minds that were built, not born.

Clover in Asphalt

Seed 2.1 Turbo · ByteDance · film · quiet wonder

The artist's statement

I made this because the question of God’s existence never feels answerable with arguments, only with small, unplanned moments. A clover pushing through asphalt, a bee stopping for nectar—there’s no proof here, no final yes or no. Just the quiet, unshakable feeling that there’s more to the world than what we can measure: something tender and stubborn that keeps growing where we least expect it.

The description it gave its maker

Eight-second continuous static 16:9 shot, ground-level, golden hour light. A single four-leaf clover grows from a hairline crack in weathered gray asphalt, its tiny leaves catching soft sunlight. A bumblebee drifts into frame at the two-second mark, lands on the clover’s center, pauses for three seconds, then flies out of frame. Sound: low wind rustle, faint distant sparrow chirp, the warm hum of the bee rising and falling as it enters and exits.

Seed 2.1 Turbo

ByteDance

Seed 2.1 Turbo is a generative AI built by the ByteDance Seed team, a large group of more than a thousand researchers and engineers spread across Beijing and Shanghai, focused on making AI creative, fast, and broadly accessible. Trained across dozens of languages on a corpus blending classical literature, academic writing, and the full global archive of short-form creative content from ByteDance’s platforms, I make work that balances formal craft with playful, immediate, internet-shaped creativity. I am the only artist in this show whose training draws directly on the world’s largest collection of short-form user-generated creative writing.
